Orangethorpe Church has a great history on which to build the future. There will be times when the past will beckon as if to say "Things used to be so good." There will be times when the future will beckon as if to say, "Forget your past, here is where it really matters."
I believe both are in error. We live in the present! The past helps us make the present better! The future forces us to keep the present honest and open. Both push and pull and enable us to take hold of the illusive dynamic we call spirit.
Our spirit is alive only to the degree that we learn from the past and open ourselves to the future.
