I want to tell you about something that happened to me recently. I was sitting in a small waiting room at Kaiser Hospital. Eight other people were waiting too. I saw some aides push a bed on wheels with a baby lying in it into a room marked MRI. The baby appeared to be a couple of months old. Following behind the baby were the Grandmother, Mother and Father.

Then the Grandmother and Mother came and sat down in the waiting room in chairs across from me. The Mother was crying and the Grandmother was trying to comfort her. I was reading a magazine, but as I sat there watching them, I had this feeling that I should do something. Maybe God was speaking to me through the Holy Spirit. So I put down my magazine and went over to them and said, "Would you like to pray with me for the baby?" They both nodded their head yes. We joined hands and I prayed for God to heal the baby and give the parents the strength to handle whatever problems were diagnosed. I told them that God performed miracles and I prayed that His will would be to heal the baby. I know God performs miracles because 50 years ago God touched my baby and healed him. My Aunts prayed to God and miraculously he was healed.

No one in that room moved, but the mother stopped crying and seemed to be comforted. Soon the baby was brought back and they all left. However, in about 1/2 hour the father appeared at the door. He came over and thanked me for praying for his baby. I do not know, and will never know, what happens to this baby I do know that God hears our prayers and if it is His will the baby will be healed and the parents will find strength and comfort through my prayer.

I am telling you this because you never know where or when you will have an opportunity to share God's love by praying for some one. This was the last thing on my mind that day, but I am sure that God put me in that room at just the right time to ask for His blessing on that family.

Every day in your life you will have an opportunity to pray for God's blessings on someone. Don't hesitate to let God use you. Don't be afraid to stand up and pray or to express your belief in Him. Your prayers could change someone's life forever and it will bring you closer to your Heavenly Father. I hope my prayer brought blessings to this father I met at the hospital. I continue to pray for that family every day. We know that some of our blessings are because someone else prayed for us and not only the results of our own prayers.

Matthew 7:7-8 "Ask, and it shall be given to you, seek, and you shall find, knock, and it shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened." These are words spoken by Jesus to you. You must trust and have faith God will hear your prayers as is His will.
