June is the month when we celebrate "Father's Day." Long before we are able to comprehend our Heavenly Father we feel the touch, care, and guidance our earthly Fathers give us. We are thankful for all our earthly Fathers, Stepfathers, Father-in-laws, Grandfathers and Father-to-Be. We wish them many great blessings on Father's Day and every day of the year.

I was fortunate to have a loving Father and two loving Grandfathers. My Father and his Father played the violin at church and at square dances. My other Grandfather was a gentle loving man that read the Bible every day and was known for his kindness and generosity. They were instrumental in showing me a greater Father, Our "Heavenly Father". The Bible tells us that He gives us love, guidance, strength, and forgiveness for our sins. He brings all the beauty of this earth for us to enjoy. He gives us the strength to endure hardships and health problems. If we believe in Jesus as our savior God rewards us with eternal life. In John 14:6 Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father, but through Me."

We are like little sail boats floating on the sea of life. Sometimes the sea is peaceful and sometimes it has huge waves that threaten to destroy us. But we have a God who can calm the seas. He even walked on top of the sea. He is a loving God who has told us to come to Him when we are burdened and heavy laden and He will give us peace. He gave a blind man sight, told a bedridden man to take up his bed and walk. He raised Lazarus from the dead.

If we throw our doubts overboard and have faith there is no problem too big for Him to solve. In His loving and caring way He will calm the seas of our life when we put our trust in Him. Jesus said "Let not your hearts be troubled for I have come that you might have peace and life more abundantly."

We only have to Listen, God speaks to us every minute of the day. He walks beside us even though we do not see Him. He is there to guide us in all situations. Isaiah 2:3 says: "He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths." It is not by chance that God speaks to us. He has a plan and we just have to listen to learn what it is.

Don't be too busy to LISTEN. God may be speaking to you and giving you an opportunity to serve him and share His love. All the "CROP" walkers listened and answered God's call to them. They were able to give a large donation to help feed hungry people. There can be no happiness if the things we believe in are different from the things we do. May God Bless You today.
