Parish Board of Trustees — 2010 Year End Report

To everyone — pastors, members and friends of OUMC, GRUMC, and the Latino Ministry:

USAGE RULES

Equipment and items at the church belong to all three of the congregations. Anything here is available for use by any group unless it is reserved for use at that time. No equipment, including chairs, tables and cooking items may be removed from the premises.

The area in front of the water heater and the freezer must not be blocked. This is a fire hazard within the Fullerton fire code. The entry areas in Fellowship Hall must also be kept clear. This also applies to the alcove in the sanctuary which has an exit door.

It is extremely important that we all work hard to reduce the usage of lighting and air conditioning so that our bills for the service will decrease. All Sanctuary and Chapel light bulbs have been replaced and all fluorescent bulbs have been replaced with energy saving bulbs. This was done through a rebate plan with Southern California Edison.

We need to keep the refrigerator free of old food. Please mark those things that are left and date them. They will be tossed out if over a week old, except for dressings. It would be helpful to reduce the use of freezer space by one freezer, if possiible. Please mark and date freezer items.

It is required by our insurance that children be supervised by an adult in any room within the facility. Please conform with this. Children should not be in the kitchen area without an adult, even to get a drink. The parking lot must not be used as a playground for young children unless ssupervised for a game or recreation after services.

The chairs in Fellowship Hall are soon to be recovered. The chairs should not be used for any activity other than meetings and meals. There are still long tables which have not been returned to the church. Please check your garages. Report broken ones to the office so they may be repaired.

The utensil drawers in the kitchen are labeled and it is important to put things back in the correct drawers. All dishes, pots and pans and utensils washed should be dried and put in the cupboards. The lower drain pan on the sink should be washed after each use. Some extra utensils have been stored in the drawers by the counter. We are considering changes in the sink area by the windows. Until then, please try to use the other sink for rinsing dishes and pans.

Please continue to encourage the children to respect the new landscaping and not disturb any of the rocks. The palm trees still do not have established roots and should not be touched. More landscaping improvements are planned as part of the memorials of OUMC.
